Growing up in Cherry Hill, Ponzio's was both my kitchen (soemtimes 2 meals/day) and my emergency contact for school. My mother, the late Ellen Dubrow ate lunch every day at the same booth. I know the soups offered every day of the week and Thursday nights were always chicken pot pie nights, but you had to get yours early before they sold out. My husband asked me to marry him over a strawberry fruit tart in a booth at Ponzio's also. So many of my family milestones have been celebrated at Ponzios, my 18th birthday surprise party, my father's 50th surprise party...Ponzios has always been and will always be an integral part of the Dubrow & Weiss families and our "stories". |
